Hire a Patriot job fair set for March 12

KCC_Mark_NKThe Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail is proud to partner with American Legion Hardin Post 113 to present the fifth annual Hire a Patriot job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Post 113, located at 1251 Ring Road in Elizabethtown.

From 10 a.m. to noon, the fair is open only to veterans, transitioning service members, National Guardsmen, Reservists and their family members. From noon to 2 p.m., all job seekers are welcome.

Nearly 40 employers will attend the event, representing various job sectors including transportation and logistics, public safety, advanced manufacturing, customer service and more. Local representatives will attend from Metalsa, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Advantage Resourcing, Bluegrass Cellular, E’town Police Department, Lowe’s, Kroger, WQXE and others. In addition, veteran and job seeker service providers will be on hand.

“We want to not only help veteran and non-veteran job seekers find employment, but also help employers find the most qualified candidates,” said Hector A. Cruz, local veteran employment representative with Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail. “We’re looking forward to another successful event, and we’re pleased to both give priority to those who have served and open the event to all job seekers in our community."

Job seekers should dress for success and bring multiple copies of their resumes. Veteran job seekers also should bring proof of military service.
