Workforce Development Board selects new Direct Services Provider

June 6, 2022

The Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board (LTWDB) announced today that Career TEAM, LLC, a nationally-recognized workforce development leader, has been selected as the region’s Direct Services Provider via a competitive RFP process. Career TEAM will provide services to adults, dislocated workers, youth and the business community through the four Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail (KCC-LT) locations, in Bardstown, Elizabethtown, Lebanon and Leitchfield.

“This is a critical time as the workforce board prepares for the BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale and the 5,000 anticipated new jobs. We are also keenly aware of the challenges that existing employers are facing coming out of the pandemic as job seekers struggle with barriers to employment like housing, transportation and childcare,” said LTWDB Chair Trish Niles, human resources manager at Mid-Park, Inc. “Career TEAM has a proven track record of success across the country, and we are confident in their approach to workforce development.”

Career TEAM will provide case management and career planning and counseling to job seekers; manage client services managers and career counselors; and work closely with the KCC-LT Business Solutions Team to support the regional needs of employers.

“Career TEAM is thrilled to bring our high touch, high tech approach to the Lincoln Trail area to serve jobseekers and businesses,” said Career TEAM President of Direct Services Anthony Terlizzi. “We are especially excited to be part of the employment and training solutions for Ford and SK Innovations at BlueOval Battery Park, as well as any new supplier firms that choose to locate into the region.”

Career TEAM’s contract began on May 1 and runs through June 30, 2023. The LTWDB may choose to renew the contract annually for up to three additional years, based on the availability of funds, contract performance, and the workforce needs of the Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Area.

To address the current state of the workforce and more, the LTDWB is hosting its fifth annual State of the Workforce Summit on June 22 at 9 a.m. at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Anyone interested in workforce development is encouraged to attend and may register at LTcareercenter.org/summit2022.
