November 3, 2014

sharks fb profile picDo you have an idea for a new business or invention? Think your pitch is ready for the Sharks?

Sharks in the Heartland is your chance to present your idea to a group of successful local venture capitalists.

This exciting pitch competition is open to all high school students in Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Meade, Nelson and Washington counties and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College students.

The event gets started at 10 a.m. Nov. 22 at ECTC's science auditorium in Elizabethtown.

Your idea could earn a great prize, too. First place: iPad Mini; second place: $100 gift card; and third place: $50 gift card. Plus, the top three entrants will be invited to pitch the Lincoln Trail Venture Group.

Students, be sure to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Registration is open until Nov. 17.

Sharks in the Heartland is presented by the Kentucky Innovation Network and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Learn more at sharksintheheartland.weebly.com.
