Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail opens new Lebanon office

ribbon cuttingMore than 60 guests gathered at the new Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail in Lebanon on Wednesday, June 22, for a ribbon cutting ceremony and to celebrate progress in workforce development.

The renovated, modern facility, at 516 Workshop Lane in Lebanon, will enhance
services, he said, as the new center offers expanded space for job seeker training, employer hiring events and job search resources, as well as a growing career counseling staff.

development,” State Rep. Terry Mills said at the event. “We have government, education and industry all working in concert, and the Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail is a focal point in bringing those partners together.”

Marion County Judge-Executive David Daugherty also addressed guests at the ribbon cutting.

“I’m excited to see the difference this new facility and the enhanced services will make for our residents and our business community,” Daugherty said, thanking those who played a role in the renovations.

Marion County and the city of Lebanon played key roles in establishing the new offices. Marion County, which owns the building, and the city of Lebanon funded a major remodel with labor supplied by county employees and the Marion County Detention Center’s work programs.

Lebanon Mayor Gary Crenshaw said all partners were working together to create a place where families can thrive.

“I know as I get older, I do not want my children to move away. I want them to gain skills, and to learn and to contribute to this community,” Crenshaw said. “The work of the career center is central to creating those opportunities for every family.”
