Immediate opportunities for schedulers

With Hurricane Matthew due to hit the Eastern United States, Schedule It in Elizabethtown has an immediate need for temporary schedulers.

Interested job seekers should visit Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail in Elizabethtown today or Friday to submit a resume. 

This position provides individualized support to insurance adjusters and their insureds.

The scheduler will routinely access sensitive information and a high degree of confidentiality is expected. Inbound and outbound calls will be part of the daily routine. Making contact within the first 24 hours of claim receipt is necessary.

These temporary positions may lead to permanent employment. Until the storm hits, six- to eight-hour shifts are likely. After the storm hits, eight- to 12-hour shifts may be required.

Starting pay is $9 per hour. If hired as a permanent employee, pay increases to $9.50 and then to $10 per hour after six months.

Required qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 45 minimum wpm typed with three or fewer errors
  • Reliable transportation
  • One year of customer service experience is preferred

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Overseeing the daily needs of the insurance adjusters assigned to your team
  • Maintaining necessary records related to contact with insureds
  • Proficient in Google Apps
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player with minimal supervision
  • Ability to express empathy and compassion
  • Maintain confidentiality

Working Conditions

  • Typical office setting with climate­controlled conditions, no heavy lifting
  • Variable shifts ranging Sunday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST; ability to work extended hours as needed to meet the needs of the business is required
