Hire a Patriot job fair set for March 17

Priority service offered to veterans, transitioning service members and families

The Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail and American Legion Hardin Post 113 have partnered to present the sixth annual Hire a Patriot job fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at Post 113, located at 1251 Ring Road in Elizabethtown.

From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the fair is open only to veterans, transitioning service members, National Guardsmen, Reservists and their family members. From 12:30 to 3 KCC_Sig_LTp.m., all job seekers are welcome.

“Now in its sixth year, the Hire a Patriot job fair has become an important event to connect job seekers with opportunities and employers with talent throughout the region,” said Hector A. Cruz, local veteran employment representative with Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail.

More than 30 employers will attend the event, representing various job sectors including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, public safety, customer service
and more. In addition, veteran and job seeker service providers will be on hand.

Job seekers should dress for success and bring multiple copies of their resumes. VeterAmerLegioncolorEmbleman job seekers also should bring proof of military service.

“Additionally, the Kentucky Career Center - Lincoln Trail provides free ongoing services such as resume assistance. Job seekers are encouraged to contact the career center about these services and prepare to make the most of the job fair,” Cruz said.
