Free workshop helps new entrepreneurs start smart

Aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to Smart Start: Business Basics, a free workshop offered by the University of Kentucky Small Business Development Center in Elizabethtown in partnership with Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail.

The workshop is set for 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail at 233 Ring Road, Suite 100, in Elizabethtown.

“The beginning of the small business development process can be deeply rewarding, but also stressful,” said Patricia Krausman, director of the University of Kentucky Small Business Development Center in Elizabethtown. “This workshop is designed to provide valuable information and tools to help entrepreneurs navigate the process.”

The comprehensive workshop covers a number of topics including business planning, financial decisions, legal actions and more.

“We are very pleased to host this free workshop and to help ensure entrepreneurs have access to resources that will make them more successful,” said Jerisia Lamons, client services manager at Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail.
