The Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail (KCC-LT) is set to host a job fair event on Thursday, Feb. 29, at the Nelson County Civic Center, located at 321 S. 3rd Street in Bardstown. Set for 1 to 6 p.m., the event is free and open to the public and no registration is required for job seekers. Employers must sign up by Feb. 23 by emailing Cathy Williamson at cathy@workforceinit.com.
Through the event, potential candidates will have the opportunity to interact with numerous regional employers spanning diverse industries, gaining insights into various career opportunities. Participating employers include:

“We are excited to connect job seekers with top regional employers committed to offering rewarding opportunities,” said Faye Eddington, career advisor at the Kentucky Career Center in Bardstown. “Through this event, we hope to pave the way for individuals to ‘leap’ into a new fulfilling career this leap year.”
KCC-LT seeks to assist job seekers find opportunities and build a workforce that will supply the talent businesses need. The organization’s goal is to build a competitive workforce that attracts new employers to the Lincoln Trail region and helps existing employers to grow at home. The Lincoln Trail region includes Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington counties.
In addition to hosting in-person job fairs, KCC-LT also offers twice-monthly online job fairs known as Let’s Talk Tuesdays, which allow participants to engage with a variety of employers virtually. The organization also offers career counseling, resume preparation and mock interviews, training and tuition assistance, career workshops and other resources. The Career Center’s Bardstown location, which recently underwent extensive renovations to expand workforce services to the community, is located at 860 W. Stephen Foster Avenue.
“Regardless of your level of experience or chosen career trajectory, our dedicated team is here to assist, and the upcoming Bardstown career fair exemplifies our commitment to facilitating connections between job seekers and employers, ultimately bolstering our workforce,” Eddington said.
