Elizabethtown and Bardstown centers earn certification

March 17, 2015

KCC_Mark_NKThe Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail locations in Elizabethtown and Bardstown are among the first career centers in Kentucky to earn certification under state policy. Today, the Lincoln Trail Workforce Investment Board awarded the certifications, affirming the career centers' commitment to customer focus as it provides unified services to all job seekers and employers.

“The Kentucky Career Center - Lincoln Trail plays a critical role in building the competitive workforce that will help our region thrive,” said Mo Miller, chairman of the Lincoln Trail Workforce Investment Board and owner of Stone Works, Inc. in Elizabethtown. “The certifications further establish that the services provided to job seekers and employers are high-quality, effective offerings.”

Certifications for the comprehensive Elizabethtown center and the affiliate center in Bardstown were approved by the LTWIB today. These follow certifications of the Leitchfield and Lebanon centers, which were approved in December and were the first certifications completed in Kentucky.

The Lincoln Trail region is the first in the state to certify all career centers. All affiliate centers must be certified by June 30, 2016. Full-service centers must be certified by June 30, 2015.

Certification requires an extensive application process and review by a five-member panel appointed by the local workforce investment board. The review ensures affiliate sites provide successful employer services as well as career advising, assessment, job referrals, training information and other services to job seekers.

The Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail helps match job seekers with local employment and training opportunities. Our business solutions team offers employers of all sizes and industries personalized support to build a competitive workforce. We are an equal opportunity employer.
