Every day at Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail, our staff is driven by two concepts. People want to work, and we have a responsibility to put programs and services in place to help them find employment and greater opportunities. At the same time, employers, large and small, are more successful when they find the skilled talent they need.
As the Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail’s One-Stop Director, I’m charged with overseeing our services for both job seekers and employers at the four career centers in the Lincoln Trail region. We strive to ensure our customers receive helpful, world-class service, and we are always looking out for new ways to connect job seekers and employers.
While unemployment insurance is an important part of how we help our customers at the career centers, our mission is so much more comprehensive. In fact, with our partners from all around our eight-county region, there is very little we can’t do for job seekers and employers.
We want job seekers to see us as their personal career coaches.
Among our free services are access to job openings, job leads and referrals, resume writing assistance, one-on-one career counseling and access to computers.
Meanwhile, we want businesses to think of us as an extension of their human resource departments.
Our no-cost business services include recruiting talent, pre-screening and assessing applicants, coordinating job fairs and even providing conference space for interviews.
We encourage job seekers and employers both to stop by or call one of our four career centers in the Lincoln Trail region. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff – a team dedicated to job seeker services and a team dedicated to business services - is ready to show you how our services can make a difference.
