Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail (KCC-LT) announced today the hiring of Dr. Noah Villanueva as the Business Solutions Team lead. In this new role, Villanueva will work closely with local employers to connect them with skilled job seekers and provide oversight of business services and activities at KCC-LT.

“The workforce needs of employers in the Lincoln Trail region are more important than ever right now,” said One Stop Director Carter Dyson. “We are fortunate and excited to have Dr. Villanueva in this new role at the Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail and look forward to expanding our outreach to employers.”

The Business Solutions Team provides a framework and strategy to integrate and streamline business solutions offered by KCC-LT. This is accomplished by bringing business engagement into the workforce partnership process, and developing and implementing business solutions that meet the expectations of the Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board.

Villanueva joins the Lincoln Trail One Stop Operations team that includes Dyson and is led by Andy Hightower and Lori Strumpf. The Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board hired Hightower and Strumpf in July to ensure a focus on providing services to employers in the Lincoln Trail region.

“Dr. Villanueva will be an asset to economic development, helping Lincoln Trail businesses find the talent they need for success," said Hightower.

KCC-LT offers a number of services to employers of all sizes and industries, including assistance with recruiting and hiring new employees, on-the-job training and work-based learning opportunities.

“I am excited to join KCC-LT at this pivotal time and will do all that I can to support employers and ensure they have the skilled workforce they need to succeed,” said Villanueva. “I also look forward to working with our partners to meet growing workforce needs as new companies invest in the region.”

Villanueva, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, joins KCC-LT after more than 26 years of experience in industry and service. Most recently, he served as the chief of marketing at Fort Knox where he oversaw outreach and events, recruitment and retention.

Villanueva obtained his Ph.D. in business organization and management with a specialization in human resource management from Capella University. Villanueva also holds a master’s of education from the University of Louisville, a master’s of business administration with a specialization in information technology from American Public University, and a master’s in strategic leadership from Saint Bonaventure University. He received a bachelor of science in biology and was commissioned in the U.S. Army through ROTC at Campbell University.
