If you have been laid off due to COVID-19 you may qualify for one of these career opportunities at no cost through our National Dislocated Worker Grant. Find new employment in an in-demand field with on-the-job training, train for a new career at our local college or temporarily serve those in need in our region. There are a limited number of spots so act fast.
Train on the job in popular career fields that will lead to long-term employment. You could train in an advanced manufacturing setting leading to a career as an maintenance technician, machine operator, material handler and assembler. Career fields also include construction jobs such as general laborers. Train on the job in any in-demand field that best fits your skill set!
Pursue a new career path and train at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College - at no cost to you - to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or a CDL driver. Once you complete the training, you will be lined up with an employer to start your new career!
Serve The Community
Help those in needs with temporary employment at one of our region’s non-profit organizations. These positions will earn $12 an hour plus fringe for up to 1,000 hours. Work may include computer skills, customer service, logistics and transportation, forklift and other light machinery training, workplace safety, office procedures, food safety and food handling requirements, volunteer recruitment and scheduling, reporting and service documentation.

To receive career services through our National Dislocated Worker Grant you must be one of the following:
- Temporarily or permanently laid off because of COVID-19
- Dislocated worker
- Long-term unemployed worker
- Self-employed but became unemployed or significantly underemployed as a result of COVID-19
