Whether you're looking for new opportunities, an entirely new career or your first job, free workshops offered at the Kentucky Career Center - Lincoln Trail in Elizabethtown are designed to help you make the most of your job search. Our professional career counselors can help you build your interviewing skills, develop an effective resume, research the labor market and more.

Effective Job Search Methods: Not sure how to get started looking for a career? Join us in this class to learn the techniques to search and apply for the jobs you want.

Resumes that get Attention: Have one of our professionals review your resume and learn important do's and don’ts for today’s resumes. We also will cover the different types of resumes and which may work best for you. After this informational workshop, use our computers to develop your resume.

Your Focus Resume: This workshop covers how to effectively post a resume on Focus Career, one of the most comprehensive online databases of open jobs, and how to use Focus to assist you with your search.

Keyboarding: Learn the basic keyboarding skills you need in today's job market.

Do you have the Skills?:  No matter the industry sector, employers are looking for people with soft skills. Learn about the top ten soft skills employers want and how you can develop these soft skills.

The Winning Interview: So, you have a great resume and you have great skills but what about the interview? The interview is an integral part of the job search process. Join us and learn how to make your interview stand out from other candidates.

Effective Networking Strategies: Networking is the single most effective way to land a new career opportunity. Learn where and how to make the connections that can lead to job referrals.
