November 2, 2022

Williamson takes on role with decades of experience in public relations and community engagement

Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail (KCC-LT) announced today the hiring of Cathy Williamson as the Business Solutions Team Lead. Williamson will work closely with local employers to connect them with skilled job seekers and provide oversight of business services and activities at KCC-LT.

“Cathy is a proven leader with a demonstrated ability to form meaningful working relationships with community partners,” said One Stop Director Carter Dyson. “We believe she will excel in this role, and I look forward to continuous collaboration with her in the pursuit of a stronger regional workforce.”

Williamson enters the role with decades of experience in public relations and marketing, community engagement and volunteer development. She most recently served as a training facilitator for Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, and has served in leadership roles with Central Kentucky Community Action and the Better Business Bureau.

Her community involvement includes membership on the Lincoln Trail Workforce Crisis Task Force, the Advisory Council Board for the American Red Cross on Fort Knox, and the Soldier For Life Retiree Council. She also is an on-camera host for Hardin County Schools Educational TV and previously served on the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce One Knox Workforce Council and as president of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club.

“What attracted me to this role was the opportunity to reconnect with businesses of all sizes, to be active with regional chambers of commerce, and to collaborate with educational institutions, the Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board, regional municipal and county leaders and Fort Knox-based organizations,” said Williamson. “The Career Center is committed to connecting employers to qualified employees, and I’m excited to work with our partners to make the Lincoln Trail region a destination for employment and economic growth, and to make sure employers of all sizes know that the Career Center is here to help.”
